I was born and
raised in Steamboat Springs Colorado; I currently
live here with my new wife Hilary and our
two dogs, Junenard and Hayduke. I enjoy everything
outdoors, whether it is hiking, fly fishing,
hunting or skiing, it does not matter, I
just want to be outside.
After the Olympic games in Salt Lake, I made
some big improvements in my ski jumping and
was able to win the World Championship Sprint
event in Val Di
Fiemme
in 2003. It was a major step for me and for
our team. American Nordic skiers have always
been competitive, but championship medals
had evaded us in the past.
Unfortunately the last few years have been
plagued by multiple injuries, but this year
I was able to avoid them and I feel more
prepared and excited for the upcoming season
then I have felt before. Our team and myself
are looking forward to more good results
this year at World Championships and next
year at the Olympics in Vancouver. Wish us
luck!

Why I Chose Springs
Winter Sports Club For My Charity
I chose the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports
club as my charity because they have done so
much for me and for all the kids here in Steamboat.
It is such an amazing environment to grow up
in, and it has a great history in American
skiing. Now it is time to start giving back
and help the younger athletes strive to be
the best they can be!
